Your team
5 of 6 seatsDeactivate, not delete. Anyone who has signed an estimate, approved work or closed an invoice is named on those records. Deleting them would leave your history pointing at nobody. Deactivating cuts off access straight away, frees the seat, and keeps every signature attributable.
An invite holds a seat from the moment you send it, so you cannot promise six people a seat on a plan that has five.

Five roles, not a checkbox per person. A shop that has to maintain a permission matrix will get it wrong in a way nobody notices until an apprentice voids an invoice.
Two choices worth knowing. Read only sees money but cannot touch work — that role is for your bookkeeper. And a technician can only edit jobs assigned to them, which stops two people writing over each other on a busy morning. It is not about trust. It is also why assignment matters: an unassigned job is a job no technician can pick up, so the board flags them rather than letting them sit.
